Look for 100% pure, natural and unfiltered acacia honey, almost transparent in color. Check for its expiry date before purchasing.
Excessive consumption of acacia honey by diabetics may affect blood sugar levels. Those who are allergic to traditional honey or bees, must avoid acacia honey too, as it may cause allergic reactions. Any type of honey to babies under the age of one year may cause botulism(a rare foodborne illness). (2)

Description
Acacia honey is a variety of honey produced by bees who pollinate the flowers of the black locust tree, native to Europe and North America. It is obtained from the nectar of the Robinia pseudoacacia flower. It is light in color, appearing almost transparent with a floral aroma. It remains liquid for longer time duration and crystallizes much slower than traditional honey, due to its high fructose content. It is considered to be high-quality honey and is pretty expensive.
