Description
Almond oil is extracted from the seed of the almond fruit. Its unrefined form is obtained by pressing raw almonds without the use of high heat or chemical agents. The low-heat process helps almond oil retain much of its nutrient content, making it suitable for culinary purposes. It is light yellow in color, containing high levels of unsaturated fatty acid that constitute 93% of total fat. It can be used as a finishing oil , added just before the meal is served. While it can be used as a cooking oil, it is suitable to heat it to high temperatures as high heat will impair the quality and appearance of cold-pressed oil.
