Aloe vera is a type of plant with thick pointed leaves and the gel found in the leaves is used to treat various conditions like skin rashes,cuts,burns,acne. It is a stemless or very short-stemmed juicy plant which grows around 60–100 cm in height and the offsets spread outwide. The leaves are thick and fleshy, and the color varies from green to gray-green with some varieties showing white flecks on the upper and lower portions of the stem surfaces. The margin of the aloe vera leaves is like saw-tooth and the flowers bloom during the summer. Aloe vera plant can be easily grown both, indoors and outdoors. It originated in Sudan and Arabian Peninsula. Aloe vera grows best in warm and dry climates and is widely found in India, Africa, and other arid zones. It is used in Indian and Southeast Asian cuisines.
