Description
Alum is a chemical compound which is a hydrated double sulfate salt of aluminium. There are various types of alum such as Potassium Alum, Ammonium Alum, Selenate Alums, Aluminum Sulfate, Soda Alum and Chrome Alum. It can be in the form of translucent loose crystals or small solid blocks, both are water-soluble. Alum powder is a fine white, crystalline powder made from alum crystals. It can be used in pickling and in baking powder.Â
