Description
Avocado oil is a deep emerald green colored, natural oil pressed from the fruit of the Persea americana. It is one of few edible oils not derived from seeds, rather obtained from the fleshy pulp covering the avocado pit. It is naturally low acidic, increasing its smoking point in both refined(520 °F) and unrefined(480 °F) form, that makes it a good cooking oil.The more refined it is, the higher is the smoking point. Cold-pressed avocado oil is unrefined and retains the flavor and color characteristics of the fruit flesh.Â
