Description
Bird's Eye Chilli are small, tapered and pointy peppers that are extremely pungent and hot. They are green when unripe and turn red when mature and sometimes orange or purple. They have a glossy body on the outside and quite a crunchy texture on the inside. They are Mexican in origin but most often used in Thai, Singaporean, Malaysian, Indonesian, Lao, Khmer, Kerala, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines. They are consumed either fresh or dried.
