Description
Biryani masala is a more elaborate version of garam masala, incorporating a much wider variety of spices, herbs, and aromatics. This masala recipe serves dual purpose, as you can add it to both biryani and pulao recipes. The difference it makes to both the biryani and pulao can be felt by the aroma and taste. To make biryani masala powder at home, heat a pan on low flame. Add bay leaves, Biryani ka phool/black stone flower and roast for 1 to 2 minutes on a very low flame. Next, add all the remaining ingredients and dry roast on low flame until a nice flavor comes out. Turn off the flame and let all the ingredients cool down. Later, put them in a mixer jar and make them into a fine powder. Transfer the powder to an air-tight container.
