Description

Brandy is a fruit-based alcoholic beverage distilled from wine or a fermented fruit mash(from fruits including apples, apricots, and cherries). Some brandy varieties are aged in wooden casks. Some are colored with caramel coloring to imitate the effect of aging. There are some varieties, produced using a combination of both aging and coloring. It is produced all around the world as Armagnac, cognac, pisco, eau-de-vie, and other styles. It can be consumed as an alcoholic beverage and added to both savory and sweet sauces.
