Description
Butter Chicken is one of the most popular curries at any Indian restaurant around the world. This dish was developed by founders of Moti Mahal restaurant in 1947 in Delhi, India. It was made "by chance" by mixing the leftover chicken in a tomato gravy, rich in butter and cream. In this recipe, chicken is marinated for several hours in a mixture of lemon juice, dahi (yogurt) Kashmiri red chilli, salt, garam masala and ginger garlic paste. There are many variations on the composition and spicing of the sauce, which is sieved so that it is finally velvety smooth. Full of incredible flavours, it rivals any Indian restaurant. It's simplified and cooked all in one pan and goes great with a side of rice or naan! But, even though it's a popular dish, butter chicken packs in the calories.
