A wide variety of chocolate bar brands are sold around the World. The first solid chocolate bar was produced by Fry's of Bristol, England in 1847. A solid chocolate bar is ideally made up of the following ingredients: cocoa solids, cocoa butter, sugar, and milk. In addition to these main ingredients, a solid chocolate bar may contain flavorings such as vanilla and emulsifiers such as soy lecithin to alter its consistency.
