Description
Tofu is prepared from mature white soybeans that are soaked, curdled and presssed resulting in a finished product similar to dairy cheese. Dehydrated Tofu (Soybean) is tofu dried in a food dehydrator for six to eight hours. When dried, it will still be somewhat pliable with dried out edges. Dehydration process reduces the weight of tofu and makes it light weight to serve as a snack. It also extends the shelf life of the tofu, allowing to store it for several weeks. It can be seasoned or marinated with sauce before drying. Dried tofu has a leather-like texture.
