Description

Tomato is a round, glossy red, berry of the plant Solanum lycopersicum. Tomatoes can be dried in a food dehydrator at 135F for about 8 hours until they are completely dried. Dried tomato powder is the bright-red powder made by grinding dried tomatoes in a blender or food processor.  Dried tomato powder has all the sweetness and acidity of tomatoes which can be easily available in a powder form. It can be used to add tomato flavor and color to dishes without unnecessary moisture.
