Description
Garlic originated in Central Asia and is one of the healthiest foods to be added to the diet in various forms. One such common way of consuming garlic is garlic oil. This oil is made by the method of steam distillation of fresh garlic cloves or by soaking the cloves in a carrier oil and allowing the active components of the garlic to be leached into that oil. Garlic oil has a characteristic odor due to the presence of a strong compound- diallyl disulfide.
