Description

Green Tomatoes are under ripe tomatoes that have light to dark lime green skin and are extremely firm skin. They are round or plumper with broad shoulders and its size varies from 4 to 10 centimeters in diameter. Their flesh is bright chartreuse and has a very firm center with tiny, underdeveloped seeds. They have a crisp and mildly juicy texture. Most famous use of green tomato is in the Southern dish of fried green tomatoes, wherein they’re coated in cornmeal, and then they are fried. They are available throughout the year with a peak season in the summer and fall months.
