Description
Irani Pistachios in Shell are obtained from the gardens in Sirjan located in the southeast of Iran. The pistachio has a hard shell around its edible, light green kernel. The most common pistachio cultivars in Iran are Imperiale de Damghan, Mirhavy, Badami, kale ghouchi, fandoughi, Momtaz, akbari, Ohadi and Sefideh-Momtaz. Each variety has different, shape and size. They are split into two main kinds by shape, round(the ratio of the length to the largest diameter is less than 1.5) and long(ratio of the length to the largest diameter is more than 1.5). Iranian pistachios are considered as luxury product in countries like Japan and Germany.
