  1. Jaggery syrup can be added to south indian sweets like sakkarai pongal,aval jaggery, appam and any payasam.
  2. It can also be added to breakfast cereals,porridges.It can be added to indian sweets like halwa and kheer as well.
  3. It can be stored up to 3 months or more on refrigeration.

Description

Jaggery syrup is a dark brown colored syrup prepared by boiling crushed or grated jaggery in water . It has thick and sticky texture. It is a little thicker than honey.

Selection Guide

Go for dark colored jaggery to make jaggery syrup. Prefer aged jaggery if available as the chemical residue is less in them. For packed jaggery syrup, check for its "use-by" date.
