Description

Kerria is a deciduous shrub in the rose family Rosaceae, native to China, Korea, and Japan. The plant kerria is named after William Kerr, who introduced the cultivar 'Pleniflora'. It grows about 1-3 m tall with 3–10 cm long, alternate leaves. It has golden-yellow flowers, with five petals. The fruit of the plant is dry single-seeded achene, about 4–4.5 mm long.
