Description
Kosher salt is a coarse-grained salt that is made from salt crystals. It is used especially to draw out the blood from meat to make it kosher. It is white in color and has large, flat, coarse, irregular crystal flakes shaped. It has a longer grain than table salt. Kosher salt sticks to foods better, and it dissolves more quickly. It consists of sodium chloride, but it normally does not contain the mineral iodine, so it is not considered as iodized salt.
