Description
Lemon fruit powder is made from the peel of the lemon(cut away any white pith) which is dried and ground to powder. The peels can be left on a plate or baking sheet(skin-side down) and left to dry at room temperature for two to three days. They can also be dried in an oven until the edges are completely dried and curled up. Once dried, they can be ground in a mortar and pestle, to a fine powder. It can be used in place of lemon zest or extract. Lemon fruit powder can be used in a variety of sweet and savory applications such as smoothies, baked goods, and cocktails.
