Longi mirch is a variety from the species Capsicum annuum, commonly found in Ethiopia and across Southeast Asia. They are small, thin and pointed peppers, green when immature and turns red as they mature. Longi Mirch Powder is a bright scarlet red powder, obtained from dried and ground longi mirch. It tastes hotter than the powder obtained from its other close-relative spice species. It is used to flavour add spice and color to Thai and Asian cuisines. It can be added to biryanis, pranthas and veggies to enhance their flavour.
