Description
Marigold is a genus of annual or perennial, herbaceous plants in the sunflower family, Asteraceae. It is native to Egypt and parts of the Mediterranean. It is yellow-orange in color, forming small florets of petals with musky, pungent scent. They are harvested and dried for their numerous medicinal properties. It is now grown in every continent, during the warmer months of the year(May through October in the Northern Hemisphere).
