Description
Mucuna Pruriens is an annual, tropical legume native to Africa and tropical Asia , and has been widely used in Ayurveda. The plant is itchy to touch due to serotonin on its surface, particularly its young foliage and seed pods. It bears white to purple flowers with ovate leaves and unwinged, leguminous fruit. The seed pods are 10 cm long with shiny black or brown seeds.
