Description

Dried kanthari Chilli is a variety of chilli that are quite small in size, narrow and smooth in texture. This chilli is considered as one among the ten hottest chili peppers in the world. It is commonly called bird’s eye chili and is found in India and Southeast Asian countries. In India, it is mostly grown in Meghalaya, Assam and Kerala.In Kerala,this chili is known as ‘Kanthaari Mulaku‘. Traditional Kerala dishes contain bird’s eye chili as their main ingredient. Compared to other chilies, its production is very low. It is harvested when matured then it is sun dried and used. The flavor and spice content stays preserved even in dried form.
