Description

Tapioca is a root extracted from the cassava plant. Natural Dried Tapioca is basically tapioca that has been washed, cleaned, sliced or diced and dried under the sun. It is widely used in the preparation of Kerala cuisines like Fish curry and kappa puzhukku.The most famous dishes of tapioca in Kerala are Chenda kappa (plain boiled tapioca) and Kappa puzhkku (mashed tapioca with grounded coconut).Dried Tapioca is available as flour, flakes or pearls. The process of obtaining dried tapioca involves squeezing the liquid out of ground cassava root and then allowing the water to evaporate, leaving a fine powder behind. Then, the powder is then processed into various forms, such as flakes or pearls. Tapioca is native to Brazil and then spread to South Africa and South America and now is used all over the world. Dried tapioca is available all through the year.
