Description
Red clover is an edible plant that belongs to the legume family. It has pink or purplish-pink to white-colored flowers with each flower having 5 narrow petals. These flowers are tubular-shaped and spread outward in different directions. The leaflets of this plant are oval from the ends and tend to be broader in the middle. Toward the center of the upper surface of each leaflet, there is usually a chevron that is white or very pale green. Usually, there are 1-3 leaflets immediately beneath each flower head, as well as several green bracts.
