Palm olien is the liquid component of palm oil which is obtained when the oil is passed through a process called fractionation, which came into wide use in the 1970s in malaysia to export cookingoil to many countries like India, Middle east, China etc.
If hydrogen is added to the palmolien oil it increases the amount of trans fat in it making it harmful for health.(1)
