Description
Permitted Natural Colour (E 150) are water-soluble, dark brown food colors approved by the European Union (EU). They are produced by heat treatment of sucrose and have a sweet aroma. Their variations include 150(a) - Plain Caramel, 150(b) - Caustic Sulphite Caramel, 150(c) - Ammonia Caramel and 150(d) - Sulphite Ammonia Caramel. They are considered as coloring agents for food and beverages.
