Description

Permitted Natural Food Colour (INS 163) is water-soluble, violet color derived from the cell sap of plants, vegetables and flowers. It has anti-inflammatory properties and acts as an antioxidant in vegetables and fruits. It is approved by European Union(EU) to be used as a natural colouring agent in food and beverages. It has various forms: E163(a) cyanidin (red colour) E163(b) delphinidin (blue colour) and E163(c) malvidin(purple colour).
