Description

Propylene Glycol Mono and Diesters of Fatty Acids belong to the class of organic compounds known as fatty acid esters. These are carboxylic ester derivatives of a fatty acid. They are a mixture of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids obtained from edible oils and fats. They appear as white or cream-colored waxy solids or viscous liquid, produced either by direct esterification or interesterification. They are used as emulsifiers in food products.
