Description
Stevia leaves are 2-3 cm long, oval-shaped leaves of the small herbaceous perennial stevia plant, species Stevia rebaudiana, native to Brazil and Paraguay. Dry stevia leaves are sun-dried leaves that are first washed and dried in the sun for 12 hours, after discarding the stems. The dried leaves are greenish in color and can be used crushed in a wide variety of foods and beverages as an alternative to sugar.
