Ram Laddu/ Moong Dal Pakoda is popular street food in India. These are basically fried pakoras or vadas made from moong dal. The moong dal pakoras are served with grated radish and green chutney. To make this yummy snack at home, start by washing and soaking moong dal and chana dal in enough water for nearly 4 hours. Drain the water, wash it again and grind both the lentils with green chilies and asafoetida. Then beat the mixture with a whisk to make it light and fluffy. When done add salt, cumin seeds and grated ginger, mix well. Heat oil in a deep pan, wet your hands, take small portion of mixture in your hand and drop small size dumplings in hot oil. Deep fry on medium heat till golden in color and then drain on a paper napkin. Take them in a serving plate, press the nuggets slightly. Drizzle tamarind chutney and green chutney over them. Now add grated radish over it , squeeze lemon juice and sprinkle some chili powder and black salt and serve.
