Description

Roasted cumin seed powder is prepared by dry roasting cumin seeds on a medium flame (until they turn dark brown and release a strong aroma) in a pan or on tawa for 3-4 minutes and grounding them in an electric grinder to a fine brown powder. It is used as a spice for its distinctive flavor and aroma in vegetables and curries and can be sprinkled on Chaas(buttermilk), raita’s and lemonades.
