Dill Seeds are flat, oval, dark brown colored seeds. These seeds have a very potent flavor, similar to a combination of celery and anise. The herb of dil has been thought to be among the earliest cultivated herbs since it was found in Greek and Roman ruins. Most commonly dil seeds are consumed in various ways like whole or crushed. One such way of consuming dil seeds is by roasting and salting them. It can be easily done at home with minimal efforts. Just put a pan on a low flame to become hot. Once it is a nearly warm place a few teaspoons of seeds on it and twists the seeds continuously to avoid burning. Once the seeds achieve a dark brown color and impart a roasted aroma transfer the seeds on a plate. Add some salt and its done.
