Description
Shilajit is a Sanskrit word shilajatu meaning "rock-tar". Shilajit is a blackish-brown powder or sticky substance, from high mountain rocks. It develops over centuries from the slow decomposition of plants(by actions of microorganisms) and is often found in the Himalayas, Russia, and in the north of Chile. It is commonly used in ayurvedic medicine and its health benefits differ from region to region, depending on the place from which it was obtained.
