Description
Strawberry ice cream is a pink or light red colored ice cream made with strawberry fruit. The strawberry ice cream that is eaten either with a cone or a cup in commercial stores is made by blending in fresh strawberries or strawberry flavoring with the eggs, cream, vanilla and sugar used to make ice cream. However to make a simple strawberry ice cream at home you can also use just the basic ingredients like full fat whole milk, cream (about 25 to 35% fat), sugar and fresh strawberries. As the ingredients used in this homemade ice cream are different from the commercially prepared ice cream there is surely going to be a texture difference but it is one of the quick and easy ways to make strawberry ice cream at home. Just blend milk, cream, sugar and chopped strawberries together in a blender and make a smooth mixture. Pour in a glass container, cover it and keep in the freezer for the ice cream to set. When the ice cream is almost set, break into parts with a knife and add in the blender jar to break the ice crystals. Blend till the whole mixture is smooth and slightly doubled up. Now pour back in the same container and keep in the freezer for the ice cream to set.
