Description

Chicken thighs are a portion of the leg that is cut just above the knee. This is a portion of the bird that is often referred to as the “dark meat” because of its extra fat content and deeper hue. It is the top portion of the leg above the knee joint that is connected to the body of the chicken. Boneless chicken thighs are the ones where the bone has been removed. Since extra butchering is done to remove the bone, this cut is a little more expensive the bone-in thighs.

Selection Guide

Check the “best by” date and select chicken with a pinkish hue.
