Description
Cantaloupe is a round fruit that has a hard and rough outer skin. They have orange coloured flesh inside which is tender and juicy. There are two types of cantaloupe such as the European cantaloupe and the North American cantaloupe. North American cantaloupe refers to the net-like appearance of the skin and a subtler, less distinct flavor, which is also called reticulated. European cantaloupe has ribbed light green colored skin and looks nothing like what we commonly call cantaloupe. While both of these varieties are muskmelons, not all muskmelons are cantaloupes.Â
