But many a times it becomes difficult to have contant stores of chocolate sauces or syrups at home. Homemade chocolate sauces are the best rescue in such situations. It is very easy to make chocolate sauce at home. You need to whisk together the cocoa and the sugar in a cold saucepan until all lumps are removed. Then, add salt and water. Bring to a boil over medium to medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer; stirring constantly. Simmer for about 30 seconds and then remove from heat. Let it cool down. Once cooled, then add vanilla and pour it into a glass jar and refrigerate until needed. The chocolate sauce is usually very thin when it finishes boiling, but it thickens well as it cools down.
