Description
Peppermint is a hybrid variety of mint, originated in Europe but widely grown worldwide. It is a cross between watermint and spearmint. The leaves are 4-9cm long and 1.4-4 cm wide, dark green in color with reddish veins. Dried Peppermint Leaves are dehydrated forms of peppermint leaves that are then crushed to flakes. They can be sun-dried or dried in both a food dehydrator or in an oven. They have strong aroma and flavour, and that may start to lose potency over time. They are used to make herbal teas and flavour soups, stews and casseroles.
