Description

Galangal is an underground rhizome of a tropical shrub belonging to the Zingiberaceae family. Galangal root is used as an aromatic spice, closely related to ginger and turmeric for flavoring dishes. Dry Galangal Root is the dried galangal root that can be soaked in water first for 30 minutes or until softened, before use. It can be used as a substitute for fresh galangal to add pungent flavor to dishes with subtle citrus undertones.
