Description
E171 is a food colouring. It is a natural white coloring agent for food and beverages. It is obtained from minerals like rutile, anatase and brookite. It has bright white to light bluish color. E171 is widely used in Mozzarella cheese and horseradish creams, in toothpaste (as the whitening agent) and white paint. It is used to achieve a white, opaque or cloudy colour.
