Hydrogenated Edible Vegetable Oil (E471) can be used in ice creams(to improve shape retention and provide foam stabilization), margarines(to impart fine and stable water dispersion), dairy products(promote dispersion of fats and prevent delamination), chewing gum(to soften gum base), coffee mate(improve whitening effect and stabilization) and protein beverages(to improve stabilization of protein, oils and fats).

Description

Hydrogenated Edible Vegetable Oil (E471) is mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids produced by glycerolysis of edible, fully hydrogenated fats or oils. It is in the form of white to off-white waxy beads without unpleasant odor. It is used as a food additive in the form of an emulsifier and stabilizer.
