Description

Rice wine vinegar is a vinegar made from fermented rice in China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam. It is prepared by fermenting the sugars in rice, first into alcohol, then into acid. Its color varies from clear to various shades of red and brown. Rice wine vinegar has various types, depending upon the variety of rice used in its preparation. Black Rice Vinegar(Uses sweet or glutinous rice and has dark color and deep, smoky flavor), Red Rice vinegar(dark color but lighter than black rice vinegar, with tart and sweet taste), and White Rice vinegar( it is colorless with high content of vinegar, has a less acidic mild flavour and a hint of sweetness).
