Sodium Benzoate can cause headache, fainting, blurred vision, chest pain, slowed heartbeat and slurred speech. It can also cause blue colouring of lips and blood vomiting.(2)

Description
Sodium Benzoate is a sodium salt of benzoic acid. It is a white colour powdered salt which is produced by reacting sodium hydroxide and benzoic acid. It is soluble in water and widely used as a food preservative.
