Description
Spices & Condiments are used to enhance the color and flavor of the food. Spice is a dried seed, fruit, root, bark, or vegetable substance which is essentialy used for flavoring, coloring or preserving food. They are mainly added during the cooking process. Examples of spices include ginger, turmeric, cumin, red chili and Cinnamon. Condiments are usually added after the dish is prepared except some like barbecue sauce, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and marmite that are used during cooking to add flavor or texture to the food.
