Description
Vitamin B12 is an essential vitamin that the body needs but cannot produce. It is present naturally in animal products, but also added to certain foods and available as an oral supplement or injection. It is a water-soluble vitamin. Food sources of vitamin B12 include eggs, red meat, poultry, seafood, milk, yogurt, fortified cereals, nutritional yeast and fortified non-dairy milks.
