Heat 1.5 tbsp ghee in a pan, add cashews and fry till golden brown, set aside.Puree 2 apples and get it ready.Add this puree to the same pan containing ghee. Mix well and saute for 3-5 mins in low flame.

The puree will absorb all the ghee and will the moisture content will go. At this stage add sugar.Mix well until sugar dissolves. Cook for a minute, the mixture will turn gooey.Add 1 tbsp ghee and keep stirring. Cook until it is less sticky.

When it starts to stick add remaining 1.5 tbsp ghee, mix well. Ghee will start to ooze out at edges and the whole mixture comes together as a mass without sticking.At this stage add cardamom powder, cashews. Give a quick and switch off. Enjoy Apple Halwa!
