Recipe Notes

Make sure the oil is hot enough initially, then lower flame to medium and let the wadas cook on medium heat for them to be cooked inside too.

Ingredients For Dal Wada Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak dals for at least 1 hour.
  • 2. Coarsely grind soaked and drained dals with ginger, garlic, curry leaves, green chilies, fennel seeds, jeera, coriander seeds, and salt.
  • 3. Mix chopped onions, rava, sesame seeds, and chopped coriander leaves to the ground dals.
  • 4. Heat non-stick skillet with oil.
  • 5. Shape the dal mixture in flat discs. Arrange them in the skillet without overcrowding and fry both sides till golden brown.
  • 6. Serve them with your choice of condiments.
