Recipe Notes

The quality of agar agar will affect the setting of the panna cotta.The flavour will depend on the quality of vanilla essence also.Grind the rose petals for a better effect.

Ingredients For Lauki and Gulab Panna Cotta Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Boil the grated lauki. Let the steam release by itself.
  • 2. Meanwhile soak agar agar strands in hot water for about 10-15 minutes.
  • 3. When the steam is released let the lauki cool .Puree it finely and keep aside.
  • 4. Mix milk, sugar and cream and heat till almost boiled while whisking continuously.
  • 5. Turn off the flame.
  • 6. Heat the water and agar agar mixture till the agar agar is dissolved completely.
  • 7. Immediately mix agar agar solution in the sugar milk and cream and whisk thoroughly.
  • 8. Add lauki puree and vanilla essence to the above mixture and whisk again.
  • 9. Once it cools down a bit, pour into molds and cover with aluminum foil or cling wrap.
  • 10. Refrigerate for about 2-3 hours. Serve chilled.
