MilkMaid Buns or Mantau Recipe

Mantau or Condensed Milk Buns are made using Condensed milk and they are even eaten dipped in milkmaid to enhance the taste.. Make these Buns and you will absolutely love them. For this recipe I have used milk maid that I have made Dulce de Leche by cooking the Condensed milk tin in water for 30m.

Methods

How to make MilkMaid Buns or Mantau Recipe

1. First let's prepare the Dulce de leche by placing the milkmaid tin in water and steaming it for 30 min.we don't want a thick dulce de.Let it cook
2. Let's prepare the dough.
3. Take the milk and warm it. Add 2 tbsp milkmaid to it. Add 1 tsp yeast and 1 tsp sugar
4. Whisk the liquid.
5. Add the seived flour and make a stiff dough.
6. Make sure the dough is hard. Adjust the flour quantity if required add or reduce accordingly.
7. Let the dough rest for 10 min.
8. Now roll the dough and spread the dulce de leche.Now roll the dough and slice it into 2 inches disc
9. You can fry these too in medium hot oil. But I have baked them.
10. Preheat the oven to 180⁰ c and bake the rolls for 24 mins or till they turn golden brown in color.
11. Serve them warm along with some Dulce de Leche.
